Most people don't learn about death until they have to. Brooke's father was diagnosed with cancer and was in hospice six months later. After realizing that most of us are woefully unprepared as it relates to grief and loss, Brooke decided to better equip all of us to be able to speak about death and dying by starting the podcast. The goal is two-fold: exposing people to different grief experiences in the hopes this helps listeners to become more empathetic, and to provide practical advice as it relates to end-of-life. The Grief Coach is a podcast and community spanning 100+ countries dedicated to equip and empower individuals to have candid conversations about life and death.

Kind words from a listener: “I stumbled on The Grief Coach not long after [my dad was diagnosed with alzheimer’s] and was really struggling to know what to do, not to do, how to act, etc. Through your messages and stories, I have learned to embrace both life and death now; not when it’s convenient or relevant, or imminent in any circumstance. Changing in this way has led to more tears, more difficult discussions, and more life decisions than I ever dreamed necessary. But it has allowed me to see life (again) and death (for the first time) in true color. Moments and memories are more vibrant. Relationships have more flavor and fervor. The Grief Coach podcast enabled and supported this change in me.”
